Business Networking Day

I was able to spend the day at Love and Unity Church in Compton. They had a business networking day where you could come out and advertise your business. The pastor prayed over the success of our business'. I actually sold 2 of my items, a scarf and a lace book mark. What a way to end the perfect day.

New Happenings

Well I am still going at it. I have purchased more supplies to create more jewelry. I have also been crocheting a lot. A guest came into Jo-Ann and took one of my classes. She actually just needed help with changing colors and problem solving on one of her afghans. She gave me a pattern for a baby afghan that is fairly simple and I now have 3 of them going. One for an employee's baby shower, one that I do while I am sitting at the computer at night and one to do on my lunch break. Last week I sold my first necklace to an employee :).

New and Exciting

As I continue to work on my crafts I find myself spending more time working on making jewelry than I do anything else. I think I need to devote some more time to my other crafts. By the end of the week I should have my zipper purses done as well as my embroidered clutch purses.

Progress

Things are going slower than I had expected. However, I will not let the devil defeat me. I am trying to do so much that I think I need to slow down and take one step at a time. I think I will also be adding some of my favorite knit and crochet stitches and pictures of what they look like when they are completed.

A New Beginning

It is the first of the year and it is time for new beginnings. It has been my prayer that the Lord helps me to use my gifts and talents. He has given me the ministry of making prayer shawls for people. As of the end of 2009 I delivered a total of 3 prayer shawls. This is the year to start my craft business.
